Using Google Latitude - #5 - Google Latitude on Your PC and Phone
Welcome back to the introduction to Google Latitude Series.
Finding your friends on latitude is easy. I can both click on these arrows on the latitude gadget on my iGoogle page and see where each friend is. I can click on view profile to see more closely where they’re at and their status message. I can also click on their names in the Friends List to see where they are.
You can also choose to send a friend an email or remove them from your friends list. You also have the option of sharing the best location with this friend. Only share city level view which means she would just see that I’m in San Francisco and not my exact location or you can choose to hide the location from this friend. This makes easy to quickly hide where you are from certain people at any time.
Besides using latitude on your computer, you also have the option at using it on your smart phone. This can be very handy if you want to see where your friends are around the city wherever you are.
To do this, you just need to either visit this link in your phone or entering your phone number to have the link or text message to your phone. Then, you’ll be able to see and communicate with your friends on your phone and it will look something like this.
