Speaker: Hook it on the back .
Speaker: I'm sorry.
Speaker: Hook it on the back.
Speaker: Hook it on the -- cut it, yeah, or since I'm racing against someone, let's see. Come on. Oh! There we go, it's real slow in the up take. Exactamundo. Visualize, visualize doing this. So, I did this once in Vegas and Simon Lessing was present, and you all know who Simon is? I mean, he has probably more triathlon hardware than anyone else I know, I think, I don't know.
I'm talking about doing things differently, he says, "But Bruce, I have a routine and I like my routine" and I said, "Yeah, Simon, and you shouldn't change your routine, because it really works and you're winning all these races, keep your routine, I'm not talking to you." I'm talking to you. Now, we all have routines, we get up at the same side of the bed, we put our clothes on in the same order. We eat our apple one of two different ways. Are you with me?
We drive to work depending on the time of day in one of two routes. Should I keep going or is this enough? It's enough. Change it, change it. You have these routines for a reason, especially if you drive to work one. It's efficient. Why would I want you to change? Because at this time of day, there is more traffic or at this time of day, you always want to be in the right lane versus the left lane, even though the left lane is supposed to be faster, the right lane is always faster for someone without reason to any of us, whatever it is, change your routine.
Why do I want you to change your routine? To expand your thinking processes, to open other doors, get out of the locked box that you're currently in. See what's on different routes. Go home with different way. Be conscious of what you're experiencing on these routes. I pick routes based on what wild life I might see. I pick routes simply because oh, I've been down this road in a while, let's see what's here now. I mean, I'm always mixing it up. Change it, it expands your thinking. It gets you out of your locked box.
Again, is this exciting? No, nothing exciting about this, trust me. Does it help your abs a little bit? Yeah, it helps your abs a little bit, but quite frankly, if this is what you're doing for your abs, you're in trouble, but it's a way to focus. You're doing a road trip, see how long you can keep that belly button sucked into your spine. It's just a silly exercise I do for focusing. Make up your own. It doesn't matter, I mean you want to do this one, go right ahead; there is no royalties that get paid to me for it.
The Sooners don't outplay opponent simply because they're smart or more prepared or more talented. They are all those things, but the Sooners also believe they're smarter, more prepared and more talented and not in a like or ask arrogant manner. There is a fine line. I'm never going to end up like my buddy, Jim, you know why? I don't have the motorcycle skill that he had. Therefore, I'm never going to have the arrogant confidence in my skills to stop paying real close attention to everything.
