or your hands from the steering wheel. The system uses Bluetooth wireless
communication technology. So your phone must be Bluetooth enabled and feature the
hands-free profile. A list of compatible phones can be found on
HandsFreeLink.Honda.com. You operate the system using voice recognition technology
and the HandsFreeLink talk and back buttons located in the lower left section of the
steering wheel.
Once you’ve paired your phone to the system, a quick and easy procedure, you can use
this system as long your phone is anywhere within the vehicle powered and Bluetooth

store up to 10000 phone numbers per phone allowing your entire phonebook to be
imported into the navigation systems database at one time.
It separate from a HandsFreeLink voice command phonebook and can only be accessed
through the navigation system info screen menu. Currently, only a select few cellular
phone models have this capability. So make sure yours is one of them before beginning
this process. You can find out at HandsFreeLink.Honda.com.
To import all phone numbers into the navigation system database from a phone that’s
been paired to your vehicles HandsFreeLink system turn on your navigation system and
push the info button next to the interface dial. Now select cellular phonebook. From this
menu select import cellular phonebook. The navigation system will then automatically
import your entire phonebook from your mobile phone. You’ll be able to make calls
directly from the navigation system and proceed with your call using the HandsFreeLink
system.
Once the process is complete the screen will indicate the import was successful. Press
and release the navigation talk button and say okay to proceed. As an added privacy
measure you can choose to assign a pin number to your imported phonebook preventing
others from accessing your personal information. If you decide to use this optional
feature be sure to keep your pin number in a safe place because once a pin is assigned in
the navigation system your phonebook cannot be searched or deleted without it.
