Using a Chatroom as a Sales Tactic
Hi, guys. David Risley here with DavidRisley.com and today is Friday which is nice because I’m not really in the work calling today. I’m ready for the weekend. Anyway today I want to make notice of something. I’m actually sitting at Jim Kukral’s chatroom. Jim Kukral, I think I’m saying his name right. I met him once before. He’s a real nice guy. He’s big into blogging as well as social media marketing and things like that kind of very close to what I do pretty much. He’s actually right now signing up new members to his coaching program as well as to his group coaching program with his web coat or the bizcoach.com.
And what I want to make mention of is the fact that he’s got this chatroom going on right now on the Campfirenow.com. And it’s an interesting tactic and it’s something I want to bring to your attention as a potential tactic if you’re ever marketing something down the road. I’ve seen people do this with new strains or actually put a U-string feed and U-string chat on a sales page.
In order to add some interactivity to the sales page and answer the questions and handle objections and things like that and he’s not doing this chatroom on a sales page. However, he is using it to be successful and answer peoples questions about his coaching program and things like that.
If anybody has ever read Dr. Cialdini’s “The Influence” book. One of the weapons of influence is reciprocity and it’s the idea is that if you give people want more running to give back. It’s just human nature so Jim is in here and he’s giving. He’s helping people. He’s basically doing free consulting and he is signing up people to his coaching program as well. So it’s a good tactic and it’s also just smart business. It’s smart for marketing to make yourself available and just be hopeful and not always charge for that.
And you can actually use something like a chatroom or U-string like I mentioned that saying done before too and get people involved with you in a conversation and they are much more likely to become costumers in the future bringing it back home and just to the idea of pro-blogging. Well, like I’ve said pro-blogging is essentially marketing. The people that make up a lot of money doing this are marketers. And I put Jim in that category as well and this is the smart thing to do.
If you do a membership program or something like that for your site, you can use a chatroom service and email your list. Say come over here and chat with me for the next several hours. I want you to answer questions for free but it is a good reciprocity play into your coaching program, membership program, buy your info product, whatever it is you might be marketing.
So anyway, just want to bring it to your attention and I’m going to probably do a few more things today but then cut it out of here and enjoy my weekend. So anyway, I will see you guys on Monday with the next video tip, see you.
