Hey guys. What’s up? This is Big Jew from smartphonejunkie.com. Just here showing you guys this video on the V2R Launcher as far as what you can do and how you can configure this to work with and without UltimateLauncher installed.
Just briefly, I’ll show you guys how it works. As you can see my screen here, I don’t have a top or bottom bar that has nothing to do with the launcher. This is the launcher itself. I’ll just tap my top screen here.
Bear with me for the camera work because I am looking through the screen. So, as you can see it says, ‘Loading Items.’ That takes just a second to load. Those of you that we’re wondering, you know and saying, ‘wow! That takes too long to load.’ You’re right. It does take a few seconds to load but once it is loaded, it does work very smooth and very accurately.
So, here we go and this Launcher does use your Windows Media Player to screen the music. So, if your Windows Media Player loads, when you soft reset that is normal. The Launcher is using that. Let me go ahead and close out of that for you. And put on a Windows Media Player. There we go.
So, here’s the Launcher and I’ll just briefly tell you how this thing works and what we have here is the messaging. You push this application. This will show me my voice mails. If I slide to the right or push to the right, I get my Emails. And if I push again to the right, I get my Tasks. Push it again to the right, I get my Missed Calls. And again, Messaging SMS so on and so forth.
Tap the top left corner here and you have more Applications. Go to your Email. You can go directly to your video camera. Bear with me one second. There we go. Go to your Video Camera. You can go to Text Messaging, your Favorites, the Phone, you have downloads directly from this company V2R for additional plug-ins and themes and so on and so forth, so if in case you don’t want it. This is pretty cool right here. You just push this button and you can have all of your favorite applications right here on the desktop within this application. We can just either just push your finger or push the icon to the right and you’ll see all of your icons.
It’s very easy to customize. If I wanted to add an application, I’ll just briefly show you. I’ll push. There we go. I’ll push this Plus button and the Plus button will tell me to add and I’ll tell it, ‘yes I want to add.’ Then it’s going to ask me where is the application on the phone that I’d like to add. So, I’ll just tell it, let’s go to my storage card. And then I want to go to my program files. And let’s say I wanted to add for some reason Tap-Tap Revolution which is a really cool game. You could find that also at smartphonejunkie.com. So, there it is. That’s the application. I’ll hit it and I’ll tell it to select.
And as you can see, it takes a second for the Launcher to reload. And what it’s doing is it’s adding that application to that screen. So to prove it, I’ll push the applications here to show you that it is added. And there it is; Tap-Tap Revolution.
It’s pretty cool as far as all the stuff you could do with the phone. This is a nice little feature. This is the media player. It gives you a nice picture of the album cover. And forgive me if it goes away, that’s like a delay. If you’re not using it, it knows to go back so just to give you see, it went back to the time. I didn’t touch anything. So, it kind of goes back to its home screen.
But to show you how the media player works, I’ll just go ahead and push the Play button. I’ll push the album that I want. So, there’s a — because I am from ‘Day County’ and I’ll tell it to play.
It’s kind of cool. It works really good. Next track, Next track, it’s the ‘Day County’ anthem. You got the idea. So, just to show you guys another program that I have here it’s called Pointui, just to show you how that works. I happen to like that program a lot.
I’ll use the V2R Launcher to actually launch the application. So, I’ll just look for my application. Boom! There it is. I’ll select it and I’ll tell it to load. And there you go, that’s Pointui. You can simply swipe your finger across the screen, kind of like Ultimate Launcher and it will give you your today, tomorrow weather, little forecast. Slap it again, you get your appointments. As you can see I have some tour set for tomorrow. I swipe my finger again, hit the tasks. Swipe it again and get back to your calendar and then absolutely back to the clock. You can raise them over the volume.
I’ll go ahead and show you guys that. Here’s the volume setting, I’ll raise my volume. There we go. I’ll exit out of there and this is also an interface that you can use without having to use this. This is called Pointui but my main purpose of showing you this video is for the V2R Launcher and what I was trying to get to earlier—just exit out of here just to show you guys.
If you have UltimateLauncher currently installed and you want them and you like and you love it and you want to keep it. That’s fine. All you need to do is add this plug-in to the UltimateLauncher and you’ll see it.
So, let’s say I’m using this Launcher here. I have my emails, my application, no problem but if you want to use UltimateLauncher. That is not a problem either. You can just swipe your finger. And then boom! You have UltimateLauncher.
This is another program called Pocket Plus. It’s fully customized to the way I like it. So, I have all my favorite applications on one screen. So I don’t have to keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling but here is Pocket Plus added. I also have like anyone else the HTC home customizer.
So, I can still use my customizer with all of my favorite people you know, so on and so forth just like the customizer. Or I can swipe my finger and actually use UltimateLauncher itself. As you can see I still have all my programs as I open up Launcher. It’s not dragging. There’s no delays which run very smooth, very sleek and I can go right back to that plugin; the V2R plugin and I can use this application if I want to get around my phone.
So, that’s pretty much my mobile. I just want to say thank you to Kaos again because this is his ROM and this is his screen I am running. So, thank you Kaos for that and everybody else with Smart Phone Junkie for making this possible. This is the V2R official video brought to you by Big Jew from smartphonejunkie.com. Thanks again for watching.
