What should singles do for Valentine's Day?
Gloria McDonald: Valentine's Day can be a really tough day for singles. So what I highly
recommend is know yourself; know what you need and know what is
going to make you feel good. For some people, they really just need to be
quiet, they need to be alone, they need to be at home, they need to cuddle
up with the good romance novel or a good book or something that might
take their mind off that day completely or they might want to sit around
and rent a romantic comedy or maybe they want to rent an action movie,
again to just be totally away from it or maybe you are the type of person
that really needs to be with a group of friends. So, get a great group of
friends together; get a great group of girlfriends together; go to
somebody's house, have a potluck dinner or go out and celebrate that you
are a fantastic woman and you are full of energy and full of life and
whatever, or if you are a guy and maybe you just want to stay home and
watch sports on TV. Again, rent an action movie or go to a pub and
hangout with some of your buddies. Know what is really going to be best
for you and then plan ahead and do that.
Get a group of friends together or plan what you are going to do to be
quiet and be by yourself and be at home, but take care of yourself and
cherish yourself. You might not be in a relationship now, but the most
important thing is to know that you are truly loving, lovable and loved and
you are deserving a fantastic relationship and if you hold onto that vision,
you will have it, it can be yours. It might not be right now, but do not let
that get you down; hang on and know that you will have a fantastic
relationship.
