Welcome to Common Man Cocktails, I'm your host Derrick Schommer sticking with the Christmas theme again today. This last time we did more of Christmas in a Cup, so it’s very Christmas oriented. Since this is going to come out after Christmas, but still during the festivities you know New Year’s is coming up, so I think it’s okay to stick with Gingerbread Man, so we’re going to try The Gingerbread Man.
It’s going to be served in a shot glass or multiple depending on how many you make, and we’re going to use a two ounce shot glass. We’re going to use one part Bailey’s Irish Cream, the standard old, and original. We’ve got some more of Goldschlager, going to love the gold flecks, we’re going to use that again. Tito’s handmade American Vodka, keeping it in America, and a little of Dekuyper’s burst Butterscotch. The stuff is awesome. If you’re looking for something that’s like a Werthers Original with 15% alcohol, that right there my friend, you drink right at the bottle, just tone it down low. It’s pretty sweet. So, let’s get started.
Put in all in this little shaker pre-ice, we’ll do one part of everything. Put some Goldschlager first. It’s still one ounce all around which if you do the math one ounce that’s four ounces total glasses, only two so you could probably fit two in here. Butterscotch, old enough, it’s clear. I want to picture it to be a brown color, but why use artificial flavors and colors when you can just make, I don’t know if that’s made up of artificial flavors and colors. One ounce vodka, and our Bailey’s Irish Cream, so you can kind of guess the color of this drink because Bailey’s is not clear. It’s kind of like a chocolate milk or coffee often used in coffee liqueur, wipe this off. It’s a danger, this could get sticky. Shake it up.
Definitely a messy little drink, but you know what it’s worth the rewards, not so bad. My first impression it looks pretty much like you’re drinking Bailey’s Irish Cream, subtle, it’s like chocolate caramel Butterscotch. It’s a candy. It’s a Christmas candy, Hanukkah candy or Kwanzaa candy, just give it a try.
That’s pretty awesome, doesn’t really taste any vodka, definitely, the Irish Cream is the immediate hitches of the sweet taste buds and follows by a little like Goldschlager cinnamon taste, and once the Butterscotch kind of kicks in. The aftertaste is like you just eat a Gingerbread man or a Gingerbread cookie or Christmas tight cookies like that. Definitely, tasty, so that is the Gingerbread Man. It leaves a little burn. This probably is a really good drink you could sip it. Let’s see what happens if you don’t.
That’s a party it will melt the whole way. Just like that, that’s awesome. It’s like a candy cane and all this kind of cool flavors going around in your mouth, definitely tasty, highly suggested so if you’re looking for a shot and there’s another one in here for later. We’ll used that as an after show type of thing, so I’ll guess I don’t got so much to show you, but I'm Derrick Schommer and we’re teaching you how to drink.
