Thanks to start my another episode of fixmyrecipe.com Chef Billy Parisi here. Our new fix goes to Ali of Kansas City, Missouri. She submitted a recipe for a Vanilla Souffle. Never made it before kind of scared wants to know we can walk through it. Don't worry Ali we are going to help you out.
First thing we need to do is butter up our Souffle dish with butter obviously and instead of flour we are going to use powdered sugar for that excellent sweet taste. Alright Ali, in a saucepan on medium heat put in a-third cup of our milk, two tablespoons of sugar, and our quarter cup of flour, we are just going to whisk this in. Once everything is together you will notice it gets really thick, at that point we need to add in the remaining milk.
Alright Ali, it takes about 4-5 minutes on medium heat to our mixture is nice and thick, at this moment we want to stir in our butter, lightly beaten egg yolks and of course for our vanilla flavor, some vanilla.
Ali, let's go ahead and set it to the side. Now we need to mix our egg whites till stiff peaks, don't forget to add in our cream of tartar.
Let's sprinkle little bit of sugar into our egg whites. We are going to fold that in. Now what we want to do is fold in our mixtures together. Once it is completely mixed we are going to put it right into that powdered sugar Souffle pot. We are going to go in the oven on 325 degrees for about 50-55 minutes and this cake is going to be standing well out of that Souffle pot.
Oh! Ali, there is our beautiful Souffle, top it off a little powdered sugar, man, you've got cake for at least four people.
So hot here, I am going to take a little off the edge there, got to try it. Souffle is so light and it's so good, Ali. Try some other recipes with Souffles, this is very standard, very basic, but if you follow it you are going to love this recipe.
