Billy Parisi: Hi and Thanks for checking out fixmyrecipe.com, Chef Billy Parisi here. Our next recipe was emailed to us from Redia loyal of San Francisco, California. Her recipe was Vegetarian Stir Fry and she wants to add protein and a little bit more flavored with how to use of raw meat we’ve covered right here.
First things first, Redia, let’s get rice going in our rice cooker. Well our vegetables are stir frying. I’m going to use rice cooker because more time do not I’m going to measured up in burner and chances are, Redia, One of the things you complain about was having a lack of flavor in your stir fry and one of the secrets to adding flavor is in ourselves. I want to use some fresh chopped ginger and of course some fresh chopped garlic and course some teriyaki sauce and some chicken stock.
For a little kick we are going to add some mae ploy, which is a sweet chili glaze is going to add our sweetness in most definitely or heat. Redia your recipes -- for canola oil get rid of that and let’s use some Asian sesame oil. As you can see our oil is smoking -- this is the absolute perfect temperature you want your oil at now let’s throwing our nice sliced red and yellow peppers and red onions.
Redia this is going to cook very fast so pay attention we want to simply keep adding in our vegetables and you got to user -- what is cooking Asian food without cooking with water. You said you want a little more protein with how using raw meats, so we are going to add some extra firm tofu well our vegetables are sorta. After your red and yellow peppers and onions are caramelized now you want to adding vegetables we got broccoli eggplant and little bit of yellow squash.
After a few minutes we are going to adding that really nice sauce that we make with doing so we are going to adding some bok soy and let all of these vegetables braise. What would Asian cooking be without the use of fresh herbs we are going to simply pound fresh basil and fresh cilantro right into our vegetarian stir fry, alright our vegetables have been braising for roughly 5 minutes and if you noticed closely with sauces nice and thick. Now you want that sauce to become thicker, sooner all as you do a simply add water. Personally, I like to get all those flavors reduced and right in to those vegetables you are going to get lot more flavor and better taste for it.
Let’s play this because I’m going to try this as soon as possible this. All right our jasmine rice is done and I want to pour all those vegetables on top, so let’s fork it spoon it -- right into our flavor. Right its get all those beautiful vegetables that we sorted up and most importantly this tofu, you go ahead with this tofu that was going to add flavor and of course want some sauce on there recipe was also tasty. May I know – there is atoned flavor in this vegetarian stir fry.
Redia you are going to be more than pleased with this recipe that I fixed. Remember a couple of things that I showed use that recipe for that nice little quick easy sauce don’t forget sorta for tofu and braise our beautiful vegetables, all that together can only make when absolutely perfect vegetarian stir fry.
