Hello and welcome to the cellphones84.com review of the Blackberry 8330 from Verizon Wireless. Here it is folks; it actually comes with this nice little leather carrying case with the clip that comes in the box. It is a QWERTY keypad as you can see it has a very nice full-size keypad. It has the Blackberry pearl trackball there and you have your call key, your Blackberry key which is your main menu the back button and the end button.
On the sides, we have a 3.5 mm jack, which is right here and what that is for is for this, which is the bigger thicker kind which gives you the on/off button here and the dual very nice ear bugs there. On the sides, we have a self programmable key here, it is a shortcut button. The power jack and the 3.5 mm headset jack, we have the volume on/off switch there, the volume rocker on the side as well as another programmable shortcut button that you can program for whatever you want.
So that is what it looks like from the front, we have got all of our icons here at the top five that you put. They are the ones that are going to be on the main screen, so we can have Facebook, those are settings the mail, call log and your Blackberry button. But those can be changed if you just hit this button and you can actually pick anyone of these that you use more often to be in that top five, so that is kind of a nice feature as well.
While this is not a V-cast phone, it does have a lot of music and video features which are nice. You can take video of course voice notes, quite a few different things, several different profiles, media, maps, course, regular internet browser with the E-Video. Speeds which is 3G speeds of course, full address book and of course, since it is a Blackberry it is of course a fantastic messaging device, not only for email but for text messaging as well or any other type of messaging that you would like to do.
Overall, it is not the fanciest media phone out there. It is not like what I said it is not V-cast, but it is a business oriented phone that you can do some fun stuff on as well. It does have a camera, it does have messaging and it is fairly light. Fits in your pocket nicely and the other thing too, is it does have this edges here are kind of rubberized so they are easier to hold onto than the rest of the unit which is a slicker, shinier finishing there.
Also, underneath the battery pack that is where the memory SD card goes, so there is a slot for that as well. Now I am going to show you the music real quick. If you click on that, just does a sample song give you a little taste of how it sounds. Now of course this is through the speaker phone so it is going to be a little distorted compared here is where you use the jack with the headset there and one note of caution on this phone. Do not play this brick breaker game because it is ridiculously simple yet ridiculously addictive, so if you do not want to waste anytime then please do not play this game. Trust me, do not start do not ever start.
So that is the Blackberry Curve, a great choice for someone who wants a business minded phone and able to have a little bit of fun as well, it fits in your pocket, it is light, travels well and overall a good no frills device. Thank you for visiting cellphones84.com.
