Bowman here at BWONE.com in a forecast called for review of the Blackberry Storm. Okay let’s go to somebodysays.com with the Blackberry Storm. First accessory, these headphones here, this is your standard headphones they have a standard plug in them because the Blackberry does come with a built in standard headphone jack you can use these or you can plug in a different set of premium headsets if you want to. Next up that already come pre-installed in the device is a sim card which will allow you to roam into GSM network because the phone does come with CDMA for Verizon and it does come with GSM for overseas networks and its 8-gigabyte micro SD card.
Next up is the battery here, it is a standard battery of 14-milliamp powers. This will give you about a talk time for about average around six hours and about 360 hours of standby time. I will say however if you're a traditional Blackberry user that don’t expect to get the same battery life that you would out of a traditional Blackberry considering that this has such a bigger screen and it’s more of a media center device so don’t expect this in amount of battery life as you would with the traditional Blackberry.
So when the battery gets loaded just use this wall charger right here and the wall charger does come with different clips for different countries since this is a global phone and it comes with a clip right here and finally, you have your guides, paper, CD’s, quick tips and things of that nature that come also with it. So that’s the accessories, next we’re going to take a hardware tour of the device.
Okay let’s take a tour around the Blackberry Storm’s hardware. We’ll start here on the left side you have your left convenience key and your may USB port which is different from other Blackberry which used to—I believe the micro USB port so your old chargers and stuff won’t work on this and this port is you used for sinking and charging the device.
At the bottom you have your microphone port here, on the right side you have your right convenience key which is kind of programmed for the camera and you have your volume rocker here and your 3.5-millimeter jack, headphone jack. On the top here it looks like it doesn’t like buttons but actually is buttons, you press down one is for the volume to mute it on or off and to lock the device here on the right.
On the back keys, it has a brush meral finish on the back and you have a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash and in front of it you have the screen which is 3.3-inch screen, the resolution is 360 by 480 megapixels, it’s a great screen and at the bottom here you have your send and end keys, you have your Blackberry menu key and you have your back key here on the bottom as well, the top here you have your LED indicator and you have your earpiece right here. And now let me compare some other devices here just to show you the size in comparison to other devices, I have XB6800 and the Blackberry Curl so as to give you size comparisons. Okay next, we’re going to tour on the device and take a tour of the software.
