Hello and welcome to CellPhones84.com, review of the LG Dare. This is a very slick and a slick, very slim line phone you can tell. It has got your N key, your talk key, and your clear key here. On the side, that is the USB power there, the speaker phone button there, microSD slot there, and a lock button so you can lock it before you put it in your pocket. A 3.5 millimeter headset jack and then your volume rocker and your dedicated camera key on the side there as well.
But the great thing about this obviously is a touch screen. We have got a shortcut button there. It brings up all of your menu keys if you want to move anything around, it is very easy. If you want to put the browser on the front raw, just do that and those two items switched. If you want to put something on the page, just pull it up and boom. Now, I have got that on my Homepage, it is very nice. I want to take it back and put it back into the shortcut button that is all I do. If I want to run something like the VZ navigator, just set that.
That is just one of the very many cool things you can do with the phone and moving, let us go back to the menu here. That is your main menu. You got everything that you need, your settings, browser, V Cast, VZ navigator, my music, contacts, messaging calls, media center. If you just touch anything, it takes you back to the main menu. If you want to get this one of these shortcuts, this is your favorites and those can be phone numbers or people or whatever you want.
One of the best things about the LG Dare is the camera. It is a 3.2 megapixel camera with built in flash. If we hit the dedicated camera button here, we go right to our camera. If we hold it horizontally and it says, “Touch the screen for setting menu.” So we will do that we have got all these great settings that we can play it just like any professional camera. We have got auto focus, timer, built in flash. We have got a brightness meter over here and here is even more settings down here. Click on those resolution, white balance, shutter sound, color effects, ISO, photometry, smart pick which is a new technology, face detection, save option whether you want an internal or external, multi shot. It just goes on and on the different types of things you can do with this camera. It is really amazing and the video editing and the camera editing are spectacular. So that is the camera.
So of course, there is amazing things you can do with this phone. There is also—it handles it very easy stuff, nicely as well like text message. Let us just hit the main menu, go messaging, you want to do a new message. You can decide if we want to do text, picture, video, or voice message. We are going to do a text message here and then we want decide wherever we want to send it. So we are going to send it to a contact. Let us send it to CellPhone84.com and hit done and now, let us just touch there. There is a regular cellphone text messaging pad if you want to do it that way, but it looks good another way. Let us hit the draw button there. Now we can actually draw it out. So if you want to say, “Hello” we will just go like that and there we go. There is our message.
Now, if you want to do it with the full core the keyboard, what we will do is, we are going rotate the phone and now we can add to you are message and say whatever we want. Okay, all our friends, there is message. We are done and now we are going to send and we are now sending the message, very simple. You got three ways to send the text messages folks.
We got a lot of options in the messaging menu. If we go down here, we can flick it up and see what else is on the screen there. One of the nice things is we have got blogs. We can actually monitor all of our blogs and input photos and new entries in that way. We can check out our mobile IM which give us AOL and some messaging MSN and yahoo. And if we go back, we have also got mobile email. It is just that simply.
