Hi! It’s Bowman here from BWone.com giving you my final review of the recently released Verizon Wireless XV6800. The one that’s Mobile 6 Professional smart phone, has a ton of features and a ton of goodies so let’s just see what this baby has to offer.
First thing, I’m going to show you some of the accessories that come with the XV6800 smart phone. First thing here I’m going to show you here, the USB charge and sync cable. This you can synchronize and charge over this cable right here. Next is the wall adaptor. Now, this wall adaptor is the fastest way to charge a device so it charges faster than the USB cable. So, if you want to get a quick wrap of charge you definitely want to bring your wall adaptor with you. If you want to just charge the device like normal, you can just use the charge and sync cable because it does both and it does it pretty decent with decent speed.
Next thing here is your USB splitter. On this, you’ll see a splitter. It includes the mini USB charging cord and headphone jack. Now, this is in a standard headphone jack, you’re going to need an adaptor to plug a set of standard headphones into this. Next thing you get right here is this case. Yeah, I’m thinking to say a thing about the case. It’s pretty whack when I toss it over here. The case couldn’t even protect the biscuit, literally probably can’t even protect the biscuit.
The next thing here is I’m going to show you the battery and some people thought that this is a 120 battery. This is actually a 1500 battery so you’re going to get some decent battery life standard. Very flat, very thin, it’s a little wide but it’s a standard battery that it comes with. Also, it doesn’t come with this accessory but you’re going to want to get yourself a Micro SD card, I purchased a 2 GB one from Best Buy. But definitely, you want to get a Micro SD card for storage. You can store your attachments on there and you can store you know cache. Some program that use cache in such as live search and you can put MP3 songs to this so you can listen to music on the phone. It does support MP3 and MP3 ring tones which I can show you how to kind of do later on, it’s really simple.
So, the next thing we’re going to go into sort of the design and look of the device. Okay, for the first part of this review, final review, I’m going to go over sort of look and feel the device. As far as the look is concerned, it’s definitely, definitely a very good looking device. As you’ll so here, you’ll notice the blue accents, the dark metallic blue looks very good and very professional. If you look here, you see that the keys are very, very reset and blend in very well over the design.
As you’ll notice in some other Windows Mobile devices, some other PDA devices, the sort of the buttons kind of stand down and kind of make the device look little bulgy, little bulky not as approachable. This definitely looks like we see this from a distant. This just definitely looks like a more approachable PDA device than most you see in the market. As far as the overall feel, it definitely feels good in the hand when you hold it to here you definitely feel that it’s more of a phone than sort of a PDA, it doesn’t feel like you have kind of a break in your hand. This spring loaded sort of a slide here feels really good, it’s really smooth and really responsive. The QWERTY Buckley keyboard feels very good, and it’s very soft, it has a low bounce over each key like you kind of differentiate between each key. And the overall keyboard feels really good.
Now, if you’re Blackberry Chill user, it’s going to be a little bit different for you as this doesn’t give a tactile feel as well as some of the Blackberries and Trios do but once you’ve gotten used to it and gotten a hang of it, it’s definitely a good keyboard. And I’ve liked this better than most of the other keyboards that I’ve come across. So, I definitely say for the overall design, look and feel of the phone, Verizon definitely got this right. The dark metallic blue looks very good, it feels very good in the hand and overall, I like the fact that it’s definitely looks like a more shaved down and a lot more clean and smooth for some of the other Windows Mobile devices that are out there. So, the next thing I’m going to go over is the overall performance of the device
