Hey! Everybody, Rick from agi@prodj.com talking about the VCI-300 with Serato Itch, there’s a number of videos out about VCI-300. What I want to talk about is something that’s on the minds of every single DJ in the country. And that is how do I secure more events? How do I get more per-event for the events that I do have. This is actually a tool that’s going to help make that happen. And I will tell you, I’ve never been a fan of all in one unit where everything has put together in the mixer and the software. The hardware is all here. But I’m here to tell you that I’ve changed my mind as a professional.
This thing actually can turn it out. And here’s one thing you may not have ever thought of. You can actually use this product to sell as a backup to your main sound system and for all you DJ’s who love the 800’s, you love the fancy mixers, this is a way that you can go into a client or a club, or potential wedding client and say, “If anything goes wrong, I’ve got like an $800.00 or $900.00 backup” And I want to show you just how quick and easy this is.
The VCI-300 fits easily into a back pack. So if you brought this to an event, let’s see just how fast it would take if something happen. So you see the setup, you see a CDJ-800, you see a Serato going in the background here. And I want to prefer what I’m about to say with—Serato is a great software but no matter what you’ve got, if you’ve got virtual DJ, if you’re just using regular CD players, no matter what you’re using PC, Macintosh, whatever. You have not a 100% chance that your gears are always going to work. There’s always that risk of failure.
So if suddenly something goes down, it could be your hardware, it could be your laptop, it could be the software within your laptop, it’s a complete risk if you don’t have a backup. The way you can make more money as a DJ is to sit with your clients and tell them, “Hey! Look, according to all the people in my market, if we all have the same traits, we all do the same thing, what would separate me in your mind from somebody else having a backup will do it?” If you’re at the wedding and you hear this no music happening, bride and groom are going to be upset. The whole party is dead. Watch how fast we can go from your sound system to a VCI-300. We’re actually going to use a little timer. I’m going to set it right now. Here we go.
So what we’re going to do is go to our laptop, pull out the VCI-300. We can actually keep our software going at least on the laptop and we’re going to unplug the Serato. And we’re just going to patch it right in to the back of our VCI-300. We always want to have an RCA cable for this very purpose. We’re going to go out of the VCI-300 and we’re going to route it into one of the channels of our mixer which is already here and ready to go. Then, we’re going to simply go in and select our Itch software which is going to load. We can go right back up. I will even for the sake of the conversation put the same exact track that was in here before and within a very short amount of time.
I actually had it going within 60 seconds, you took an instance which could have ruined the event regardless of what kind of equipment you’re using. The VCI-300 is up and running. And I’ll tell you, this thing—we’ve checked it out thoroughly. It is rock solid, seven pounds, you can get yourself in front of a club owner or a wedding client. This thing will allow you to make more money per event. It will separate you from your competition and everything else that they’re doing. Imagine taking this to a wedding rehearsal, guys if you’re out doing weddings, this would blow your customers mind to show up at the rehearsal. With the VCI-300, playing the wedding march, playing the recessional, putting a microphone in there. Do you charge for that? Absolutely you do.
Anyway, we just kind of want to show the VCI-300 in a way that maybe you haven’t thought of it before. This is totally a rescue device if you want it to be and it’s so much more than that because obviously, the potentials are limited with this product. But check it out. It really considers how to make more money in backup situations.
