DJ Ty: Hey everybody, DJ Ty from agiprodj.com. Today we’re checking out the VCI 300 from Vestax. Serrato Itch controller, all in one mixer, all in one scratch live controller, dual deck control, lots more video to come on that. What we’re gonna look at on this video is actually what is Itch, and it’s drastically different from anybody that’s familiar with scratch live. Itch is again, another piece of DVS software. You can’t buy it in stores. It comes embedded with a piece of hardware such as VCI 300, so, this software is designed to work with hardware control. As you can see, anyway, again, who’s familiar with scratch live, all the stuff that’s right here on the screen that’s got all the cue points and all the loop points that’s not there, and all the other extraneous things that are in that piece of software are not on the screen. Here’s the UI, it’s simple, it’s clean, you have wave forms, you have again, this, the, the trademark Serrato control, where it shows you where in the vinyl you are. Tempo adjustments as well, and if we have two tracks going, gives you those marks that you can line up for your mex. Track information. Time elapsed. It gives you where your pitch is set. And that’s feedback from the controller back into the piece of software. And then it gives you where your loop can, the length of your auto loop that you’ve got right up, ready to fire off. Right now it’s on 8, and we can change that from the controller. I’m not touching the laptop, set your auto loop as well. And the most important thing that takes up all the screen is your browser, coz it’s all about the music and how do you get to your music. Rather than having to come up here on your laptop and using the tab key and scrolling with your mouse and then tabbing here up and down your keyboard. You don’t have to touch the laptop. You’ve controllers in the VCI 300 that let you tab focus, back and forth. And I can scroll up and down. I can tab over. There’s my prepare, my prepare cue. I can tab one more. I select the song, again, not touching the laptop, I can load it, and there it is. So, as you can see here, it’s real spurt and set up, it’s designed to just be a visual aid so you can mix on this piece of hardware without having to touch the mouse or use the midi controller. Anyway, it gives you that, you know, that synchronicity with your music. So, Serrato Itch, Vestax VCI 300, 8.99 on those, but definitely call us, email us, or IM us, for your best price.
