I've created this look based of off Victoria’s hair and make up in the movie Twilight. It was recently announced that Rachelle Lefevre won’t be able to come back and play the role of Victoria in the clip what she has played previously in the movie Twilight and the up coming film New Moon. I decided to create as sort of a tribute to how she played that role and I may not have the fiery red hair that is a trade mark of Victoria but I decided to do this look any way and I really do believed that anyone can pull this off. So I hope that you continue watching and enjoy.
Even though I'm going to be curling my hair in this video, I find it easier to start out with straight hair. So before I started this video I blow dried my hair and I straightened it, not if you have a naturally straight hair then this won’t be a problem and you’ll just wash and dry as usual. In this video I'm going to using an Enzo Milano half-inch curling iron, to create the spiral curl. I think its easier curl hair in layers. So I have a large section of my hair take off and I have the bottom left down.
I'm going to use heat protected first, because you don’t want to damage your hair too much with I mean heat products and this really helped. If you're using a curling iron like this without a clip make sure that you wear the gloves to protect your hand from heat because this got really hot and you don’t want to burn yourself. So grab a small section of your hair and loosely twist it. And then going to wrap it around the barrel and hold it there for just a few seconds.
Then take the next piece and do the same thing. And then just keep on going until you have the rest of that layer done. Now I have curled the bottom layer of my hair and I started on a second layer. And I just in this part left to do, so just going to keep doing pretty much what I've been doing and then take another strand and going to twist it and wrap around the barrel and I've been holding it for about 10 seconds but it might be more or less depending on the weight and thickness and texture of your hair. And then let it go.
Okay, so I've finished that layer and now I'm going to go just put some hairspray and go with the next layer. I flipped down the next layer of my hair and I'm going to curl this one slightly differently. If you curl the top layers of your hair too tightly you're going to kind of end up with a triangle effect and you're just going to have really little curl down the top and it’s not going to look quite right. So I'm going to take bigger sections of hair for the top layers. So I would probably take a half inch of hair before and now I'm going to take about an inch.
But other than that I'm going to do the same thing, just slightly twist the hair. And then wrap it away from my face and hold it for a few seconds, okay. Okay, so this layer is done and I'm going to go spray it with hair spray and let the hopefully last layer down and come back and show you how to do that. So I let to hang the last layer of my hair and I am ready to start curling it.
Now, I'm just going to curl the rest of my hair like I did on the last layer. I decided that that other curling iron was a little bit too small to do my bangs in the front of my hair. So I heated up this rod one, I believe it’s a one an a half inches curling iron. Now I'm going to grab part of my bangs that I didn’t curl and lift that up and then curl it away from you face. If you have a pulling iron with the clip and you are going to put the clip on top of your face, of your hair and hold it there for a few seconds and then just let it go.
It’s just going to give you a soft little wave and get the hair out of your face and blend it into the other curls. I'm just going to grab this little piece of hair from this side and do the same thing but the side is much longer, so I'm going to hold it probably a bit longer. Okay, so now I'm finish curling it and I have been using this off seen high hold and high shine hair spray, you can use whatever kind of hair spray you want I just find that it works well for my hair. So that’s it for the hair products and tutorial and now I'm going to move on to makeup.
And all the pictures that I could find and from watching the movie it didn’t really seem like Victoria had that much makeup on. So I went for a really mask full look with a little bit of shimmer and in it for all over the lid I'm using Mac Styles Nob its in the star flash eye shadow. And I'm going to apply this with the concealer brush because this tricky killer shadow has quite a bit of fall out and this makes it a little bit easier to apply.
I'm just going to pass that on lightly, I'm doing my before I put honors with my foundation so that I can easily take off any fall out. And I have to worry about redoing this to my makeup. So just spring a little bit above the crease, then I am using a L’Oreal HIP eye shadow Duo. And I'm taking blending brush so I got it from across so you can take any blending brush you want and I'm just putting that in my other entry and blending in towards the of my eyelid a little bit and outwards.
I'm trying not to blend this out too much once we smoothen the transition but I don’t want it to look too smunky or it won’t look very natural. I'm not wearing my makeup underneath my eyes because in all of the pictures her lower lid looked really bare and it didn’t look like there was any makeup or any smudging underneath there so I'm just leaving that alone. I'm taking a automatic eye liner from conic and dark chocolate and I'm just going to thinly line my upper lash line. And then I'm going to take the smudging end and just smear that out.
Now for mascara I am using Sexy Curve Spiral Mount and extreme black but you can use color mascara and any ray in the mascara that you prefer. If you prefer brown or brown black then that will just make it a little bit look more natural. For my concealer I am using the concealer in a jar from Nicks and my shade is in porcelain. I am very far skinned so I'm using the lightest shade but obviously use whatever shade you want and if you prefer a different concealer then use that. Just slightly tapping this underneath my eyes and blending it out. Because vampires already have perfect skin and it looks very natural, I'm using mineral skin from Mac it gives a nice natural finish but has this subtle mode to it.
So I am taking my kabuki brush from Everyday Minerals, it’s is flat kabuki and I'm just brushing that into my skin. Then I'm going to take this blush in naturals from Everyday Minerals. It is shimmery, it’s kind of a tope-purple color, its very unique and I'm just going to put that kind of on the highlight of my cheekbones instead of using blush. Because vampires are pale and they have very luminance skin and they don’t blush. And you can just use the excess on the other highlights of your face. Right onto your nose, on your forehead, chin and right above your lid.
For the lipstick I am using a light moth color, it is a Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick and shade number 70 which is called Airy Fairy. Which is got a little bit of a shine to it but it has mostly Mac finish which is nice because in the movie Victoria lips has kind of a muddy sometimes brown look. But it’s mostly a nude lip and that’s look pretty Mac. But it’s nice to add just a little bit of shimmer. So this is the final look and I hope you enjoy learning how to recreate Victoria’s look from the movie Twilight.
