Welcome to Beijing, China’s exciting capital city. I am Coco Liu, I am working here with my concierge team at the InterContinental Financial Street in Beijing. Today I am going to take you on the tour of this incredible city. Just outside our doors are great shopping bargains and fascinating temples. There seems to be a new discovery around every corner. First we will explore Baita Si or the White Stupa Temple. It was build by the Mongolian Conquerer Kublai Khan in the 13th Century. These are the living relics of Mongolian Buddhism.
Next door in the temple kitchen we will join a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. This tea is more than just a delicious drink, preparing it is an art. Now it is time to relax with the foot massage, an age old firm of healing in China. That is really nice, feels good. From traditional crafts to name brands, Beijing is one of the best shopping cities in the world. And this place is called Yandai Xie Jie and I love shopping here, let us. I like checking out local boutique like the national embroidery and antique collection.
This place is really good because the designer makes her own cloth. Look at this one. I am going to buy it. For the best selection of fashions, from luggage to suits and baby clothes, I go to Wantong Market. It is right near the hotel so you can come here to see truest crowds, and the truest prices.
Chinese food is one of the most refined and very exquisite in the world. It is one thing Chinese love to do, is eat. This is Gui Jie means Ghost Street. This is the best place for food in town. Most of the restaurants are open all night and right now I am going to show you to one of my favorite Huajia Yiyuan. Lets us go. You cannot visit Beijing without trying our famous Peking Duck. It elevates your mouth. South Beauty Restaurant is another one of my favorites. From the fine décor to the fine wine list, they serve Sichuan food and it is spicy.
Well, Ho Hai, one of the most happening places in Beijing. This area is just fun, it is beautiful. A Pedicab Ride is the best way to see this place. Choice on local treats, sit in the café and people watch or go for a boat ride. When night falls the bars inn on Sanlitun Street comes to life.
