Clem Johnson: I say it is like the little San Francisco of the East more freaks per capita. The funny thing is that left or right, everybody around here is very friendly. Hey how are you doing?
Here we go Key into Jazz, we have a big Jazz community at Brattleboro. Right across the street Moles Eye Café it used to be just blues, now you get all kinds of music there and one of the fun hot spots on the weekend in town. Brattleboro for its population once again has incredible number of musicians, myself included with the Johnson Boys with my brother Duke and Buck. We have been playing based out in Brattleboro for about ten years.
Aaron Chesley: We are here at Maple Leaf Music in Brattleboro. I sell mostly stringed instruments, sell and repair and teach. I personally do more solo things these days. I played at the Common Ground, I played at the Moles Eye, I played at Moles Eye. I played at Hooker Dunham Theatre.
Clem Johnson: Hooker Dunham Theatre is here. The Hooker Dunham Theatre that has plays, musical concerts and films and even in the winter we have our wonderful lucio cabasa cards, hotdogs which I love so I think I am going to get one. Books, I think Brattleboro probably has at least five book stores like that I have found, used stores to new stores. Like I said we don't watch TV I think people like to read. My friend Dave who also owns the Weathervane just opened this up, the Elliot Street Grill.
Dave: Hey how are you doing? Yeah we are here for 48 hours. Yeah, already we have sold everything we have and I broke my foot and we had to fire people two people and hire new ones.
Clem Johnson: Really?
Dave: Yes. It's an exciting fast food business.
Clem Johnson: What are you doing? You are getting plenty of rest?
Female Speaker: Not really.
Clem Johnson: Frankie's Pizzeria, very popular spot. I will go get there pizza.
Frank Vakaros: I started this place about seventeen years ago. I think things are pretty good, so far so good. It has been changed, it is getting more population out of this seat, to get we are moving up here, small cheese pizza, very good, I will see you in 10 minutes, small cheese pizza for the Alley Gallet out here. That's another undue pleasure, that's a nice name the Alley Gallet.
Axel Heimer: I have known the family for eight or ten years, good family I like their work. That is good sized town, you don't have to worry about like crime stuff, there is plenty of people around, stuff to do, good time.
Clem Johnson: Here is the Alley Café one of the most eclectic stores in town.
