Hello and welcome to Water Park, this is an excellent mountain biking trail for beginners, experts, freshmen and family alike.
This trail is located south of Denver near Chat Ville State Park. The first six miles of water canyon, follow a well maintained service road. That parallels the south flat river. The trail offers bikers, hikers and fishermen, a peaceful journey through the Can. And maybe running with big horn sheep.
Female: I’m probably up here once a month, but to be this close to them and the bighorn and the ram. And they are simply bothered by the people which is good. And so it is always a treat to get this close to nature.
At the six mile mark, you’ll reach Colorado springs which towers 243 feet above the string bed. Picnic tables offer places sit and relax, you can continue pass the dam for about half-mile to the start of the Colorado Trail.
From here you can take the Rocksperlute which tax on in additional five miles in a staggering thousand foot climb not for the faint of heart. Just north of Wellington the Maricara greenway winds through the 672 acres of south flat park.
Male 2: I always ride on the Maricara Greenway because the scenery is nice and it's close to mountains.
This trail provides a unique backdrop to a days spent cycling. You cam even watch boaters play in the river, horse stop by the chromospheres center for an inside look at native plants and animals.
Male 3: This is a great community facility and there’s lot of opportunities that just came out here. The park is open, sunrises and sunset in every single day. In a nature center afternoons and weekends and there’s something for everyone.
Cyclist markers on the greenway can even enjoy free access to Chat Ville’s state park. So no matter what kind of ride that you are looking fro, Denver has it. Bring your game face or bring your family have fun.
