Hidden on the hills overlooking the small town of Port Edward on the Natal south coast, you will find the most southern coffee state in the world Beaver Creek Coffee Estate. Established in 1984 and ran by a family of three generations, it is one of very few estates in the world to produce coffee under its own label.
The owner of the estate Ed Cumming has passed down the running of the business to his two sons Dylan and Robie Cumming who both share a passion for coffee and have introduced fresh ideas and methods into the running of this unique estate. Over the pass 26 years the farm’s original banana plantations have been planted with coffee orchards on which there are now 25 hectares of Arabic that excel 28 bourbon.
Beaver Creek produces the finest and purest Arabica Coffee which is processed through the fully washed method. The beans are roasted on the estate for eight to fifteen minutes which is when the optimum amount of flavors are released from the coffee beans. The Beaver Creek family is extremely passionate about coffee as the very best to produce the highest quality as each batch is roasted to order and delivered fresh to your door offering a fine variety of local Africans as well as imported coffees from around the world.
