Tina Roth: The Silver Bean is a 1969 Airstream Overlander. Gigi Schwartz the owner started this business nine years ago. She found the trailer at a local pawnshop here in Cortez, Colorado.
Host: The shop is on Highway 60 in downtown Cortez, just 11 miles from Mesa Verde National Park.
Tina Roth: We’re also a big hit with the locals and we know a lot of them by names. We have a frequent buyer card.
Host: So what is the local’s favorite drink? It’s the Frozen Flamingo made with vanilla, pure deli chocolate and handmade with cream.
Tina Roth: Our flamingo up front was actually a gift from one of our patrons. We dress them up for the different seasons and different holidays and so he is now a popular mascot for The Silver Bean.
