Visit to the Domaine Piquemal Winery in Roussillon, Southern France

www.domaine-piquemal.com Pygmalion was a great Greek sculptor. He had a dream of a perfect woman. This doest not exist? We agree? So Pygmalion made a marble structure. In his mind he wanted to make a marble sculpture of the perfect women. That's the statue of the perfect woman. The problem was when he kissed her she was cold. The Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. She saw Pygmalion unhappy, very sad. She transformed the statue into a woman. When Pygmalion came home that night, he gave her a kiss, and she wasn't cold anymore. She was very good! He was in love! He gave a name to this statue, the name was, "Galatée." We said to each other, we want to make a wine for woman, and a wine for men. With the variety of grape in mind. We use the grape variety of "Grenache" for women (Check out Wikipedia for the history of this variety) because it's Charming, Elegant and Feminine. And "Pygmalion"we use the variety of Syrah/Shiraz (Check out Wikipedia for the history of this variety) because it's dominate and Macho. Like me....... We have a glass for women and a glass for men.
