Nate: Hi, I am Nate, I am from St.Petersburg, Florida. I was wondering if a wakeboarding session, roughly 1-2 hours gets the same benefit as a gym workout of 1-2 hours? Ken Mautner: Nate, wakeboarding is a form of exercise but sustain muscle contraction is that you do while wakeboarding. It really will help to strengthen and tone your muscles. However it's not the same as being in the gym, where you can pursue cardiovascular fitness as well, with bike riding or running or elliptical machine or even swimming, which will help improve your cardio vascular fitness.
