Hello and welcome to the Knee Pain Guru, Knee Pain Questions Answered.
This week I have a question from Kunz (ph). He says, "Hi Bill! I have pain in my knees, should I go for my walks or not? Please do advice. Thanks!"
Well Kunz, if you are having pain in your knees when you walk, your first thing you should do is check with your doctor. That is first and foremost to make sure you're not doing any damage further to your knees. At that point, based on what your doctor says, your approach would be then take a look at what I have going on in my site.
First thing I am going to suggest is to drink more water, to increase your water intake, because that in my experience has been the most -- one of the biggest things that leads your knee pain is a result of chronic dehydration in the body. And by drinking more water, you allow the cartilage or the meniscus between the bones in your knee to swell up; they are kind of like sponges. And if you look at diagnoses from doctors, they will say a lot of times any type of joint issue is a result of chronic dehydration.
So increase your water intake, check with your doctor and see how that does. So if you have any other questions just go ahead and send me the email. Go to the Contact Us section on my website, thekneepainguru.com, and I'll be in touch soon. Thanks a lot! Bye-bye!
