Laila: Clowning around is a lot of hard work. Welcome to watchmojo.com. I am your host Laila, I am going behind the scenes, with some students at the National Circus School.
Do you want to tell us, how you got interested in the circus?
Anna Kitchenko: Well, since I have been young I have sort of did all the athletics sort of things; gymnastics, dance and then in Toronto where I am from. I heard about, a recreational circus program so I just took classes in the afternoon and after school and this is where it got me.
Laila: Now, that you are the National Circus School can you tell us about, your typical day?
Anna Kitchenko: So, I am in the high school program. So we still have our high school subjects. In the morning, we'll have Math, English, French and then in the afternoon, I'll train for four hours and I'll switch around. So it's about four hours of training and five hours of school, it's a long day, it finishes at 6:30 sometimes.
Laila: What are some of your favorite performance arts?
Anna Kitchenko: I really like doing aerial things and contortions flexibility. There's a whole lot of variety at this school. So everyone has their - what they prefer doing and for me it's really things in the air, high up and I just love it.
Laila: Where you want to go after, when you finish school?
Anna Kitchenko: I am hoping to audition - I am auditioning for the college program at this school, in these few years and then, really travel the world and contract. So it may be other major circuses and honestly see all the places and perform and be in front of an audience. It's really fun.
Laila: Thank you, so much for your time Anna.
Anna Kitchenko: No problem.
