Water Coolers and Germs

Steven Johnson: Kelly, the water cooler could be a potential way that germs are transmitted for several reasons. First many of the colds and the cold like illnesses in the workplace are passed from hand to hand and often from contaminated services consequently a water cooler would be a common place where a number of people would touch those surfaces a simple approach after using the water coolers to simply wash your hands and that would prevent the transmission of most viral pathogens that would cause the common cold.
