So today, I am going to give you the low down on how to do an awesome jumping or falling off of a building effect, like you are going to see in this scene that I am going to show you right now from the movie, War.
[Movie trailer]
Male1: Now the key to this effect is the optical illusion involved.
Male2: Hey are you talking about optical illusions over there?
Male1: Now that is an optical illusion because you see it looks like I took his.
Now as I was saying before the key to this is the optical illusion and we are going to be doing some awesome editing effects for this fast pace action scene. They are going to be scrambled all together and make you really believe that what you are seeing is me jumping off a building.

Male1: Now the most important shot of this entire thing is your establishing shot where you are going to show your tall building and you are going to let your audience that what you are doing is pretty death-defying. And what we have done is found a part of the building that the top is exactly the same as the high part except that it is not high in these areas. It is perfectly possible for me to jump from but you should still be just be careful because you do not want to break your ankle.
So what we are going to do is a little green screening to make you seem as if you are falling. Get some establishing shots of the fall where you are not showing the top or the bottom and just so the green screen right over that. Refer to Indy Mogul extra green screen effect for more information. And also the best thing to do when you are green screening is make sure that your screen is green.
All right, I am going to jump off over here and I am not that high so it is not going to hurt. So cameraman get a crafts shot, and he can see where I am jumping from. It just looks like I am landing and then you can throw any other shots on in and you will have an awesome jumping off the building effect.

Male1: I am cutting that scene now. Here is the test film, enjoy.

Male4: Dude, no one can survive this jump it is at least 50 feet and you will die on impact.
Male1: We will see about that. What does 20 bucks say?
Male4: Twenty bucks says “I am on for it”
Male1: Twenty bucks
Male4: You are going to die
Male1: I am going to be 20 bucks richer and I am going to buy a new house in Walter.
Male4: I can not believe it
Male1: I do not want to leave the world without your 20 bucks. Hey, give me my money. You do not even have 20 bucks, you only got 16.
