Hey everyone. Welcome to Indy Mogul Weekend Extra. Now we have an awesome user submitted tutorial from Kier Macdonald. Now you are going to take notes because Kier is going to show you how to make the gun shot effect for even cheaper.

Hello everyone on the internet. This is Kier of OMG Productions and I was just watching Indy Mogul, I thought it was awesome, lots of great tips stuff that I have been wanting to figure out for so long. I have been hoping some sort of website like this existed and I randomly found that it did. And the only thing is the gun shot effect that was described, I have a different method that I like to you use and I thought it works really well and it can actually be done even more cheaply and you can have 30 of these if you are going to be really gory on a person and it only costs you a couple of bucks.
This is my recipe for a gun shot. So you are going to need to make the basic recipe for fake blood. There we go there is some blood. So our next item is condoms, juicy. So you are going to take this and you might need someone else to help you. This opens somehow and then you are going to add a generous amount of blood. I know this is not the most—this is some interesting imagery right here, that it is all I can say. Tie a good knot in there. This is not very fun to watch probably, flopping around the bloody condom, whatever.
Alright. So next, we are going to need a washer. You can get—you know this are a dime that you can get at any hardware store. Fishing line, okay so some fishing line which is pretty hard to see on video if you are not looking for it. You can probably see it. I’m reeling it. And also, a tip that I have though a lot of people do not know is, fishing line does not work very well in outdoor shooting in like bright light because it reflects. So if you are going to be outdoors, it is better to use a strong black thread. Okay, so you are going to tie that to the hole of the washer. You take some super glue. Just going to smear that all around. Its got all the way around there. Before this gets a chance to dry you are going to slop it down in the middle of the condom and press it in firmly.
So this is a probably a bit confusing. But now, all that we’ve got is a washer on some fishing line glued to a condom full of blood. It is very weird rig. But trust me, I thought it works very well.

Welcome to my bathroom. And, some bad echo in here but hopefully, you will be able to understand me. So, where we left off, we had this gorgeous sight. Now this is going to look little weird but I am just going to demonstrate this on a wall okay. Now what you do normally is have a person have this under their shirt or pants or anywhere they are going to get shot and you duct tape it to their chest. And you might want to shave it a little first for your Sasquatch men. But, yes, just duct tape to your chest and then, you are just going to cut an X in the shirt. And that is going to leave a folded over sadly. And the X will go to rip over where that washer is and the external come through there, okay.
As I said the joint where the washer is attached has been very weakened. So if I yank this right now and if this were under someone’s shirt sure as I said with the cross where you cannot really see it because you are going to probably cut the shot right before there and you wait before they get shot. Then, someone off screen has the fishing line. They can put it on a post because it is easier to pull. Maybe not several of you that they are going to get riddled with bullets and they are just going to get off camera and get the actor ready. And when it rolls, do a count down and just you are going to yank it really hard and we will see what happens. One, two, three.
Now, I have to say when I saw his video, I was blown away. Big props to you Kier and this a great example to all you other Indy Mogulers out there, send in your tutorials. And if there is helpful as Brad, as Kiers, you could be featured in the next Indy Mogul Weekend Extra. See you next time.
