Weight Gain Supplements

Bob: I'm Bob from Berlin, Connecticut I'd like to know what effects do weight gain have on men including using protein or weight gain supplements and also how do you know if it is healthy or if you are over weight.

Lawrence Cheskin: Bob that's a good question because not all weight gain has the same health consequences. If you have obesity as a result of weight gain then you receive the amount of body fat is abnormally high then it is associated with all sorts of problems like diabetes and heart disease and even some forms of cancer. On the other hand if you are gaining just muscle mass which is unusual but can happen if you are trying to build muscle mass specifically then it has less in the way of health consequences you can tell if the diet is healthful if it gives you a recent bowel mix of the major constituents the macronutrients we call them protein, carbohydrate and fat.
