Sam Dean: Hi, I am Sam Dean, Beauty Editor of Company Magazine. I recently have signed up for a ten-week program to drop the dress size, at Good Vibes power plates classes in Covent Garden. The idea is to fit back into these jeans, it's really expensive jeans, which no longer fit me. So hopefully at the end of my ten-week program, I'll be able to slide into these.
Nahid de Belgeonne: How are you Sam? Welcome to Good Vibes.
Sam Dean: Nice to meet you.
Nahid de Belgeonne: I am Nahid, how are you?
Sam Dean: Good, thank you.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Truly good. So you come along you want to do power plate sessions?
Sam Dean: Yeah.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Have you heard about power plates?
Sam Dean: I read about it and heard from friends and giving a go. See great results so.
Nahid de Belgeonne: That's why you come here. Okay do you know how it works?
Sam Dean: --
Nahid de Belgeonne: Alright. So you're constantly exercising on a vibrating platform. What that does is it makes your muscles constantly stabilized to try and keep you upright, so you are working all your muscles at the same time, hence a very nice training, 25 minutes you are in.
Sam Dean: And that equals an hour of gym?
Nahid de Belgeonne: It is, yeah, yeah. And tell me why you want to do the drop the dress size?
Sam Dean: Basically I wanted to do a program and see results in and then may be you would need to do at least ten session to get a notable difference everywhere on your whole body so.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Yeah.
Sam Dean: Also I have just recently bought some new jeans and purposefully bought a size smaller so it's my aim to get in them.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Okay, lovely. What the drop dress size course does is you have to commit to three sessions of power plates a week over ten weeks. You need to be also got a food dairy, so I'd like you to keep a record of what you are eating so you have to encourage people to eat breakfast.
Sam Dean: Yeah.
Nahid de Belgeonne: There are some really good tips in the front about what you should and shouldn't be eating and lots of citizen's workings really and they are quite doable because we all been lots anxious and a bit naughty along the way.
Sam Dean: Yeah, such realistic.
Nahid de Belgeonne: And exactly.
Sam Dean: So power plate seams to become a huge trend of a lot of celebrities that you know.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Lots of people use that. And you won't get excited about. Kylie uses it, Madonna uses it, the Premiership football teams use it, golfers use it.
Sam Dean: So guy and girls.
Nahid de Belgeonne: Guy and girls. It's very tough training. You can't just turn up and have a five minute cake and so you have to do little bit of work, exercise just 25 minutes.
Sam Dean: Is there any areas that gamily gets more time faster than any other area like?
Nahid de Belgeonne: No it all depends really because we -- all of the sessions that you'll joining me, I think it's equally on arms. It starts with legs, then arms, and then stomach.
Sam Dean: Okay.
Nahid de Belgeonne: So it just really depends. Some people see the ten very quickly in the arms, some people in the bottom, my bottom lift to do one week.
Sam Dean: Wow.
Nahid de Belgeonne: And I'll drop the dress size and say that's when I first started so it's hopefully, you're going to see a change all over.
Sam Dean: Yeah.
Nahid de Belgeonne: This is the warm up position. Then the knees lunge, always have something slight and bend, all your joints bend slightly on the machine. The reason being is because there is no tension in muscles, we're actually pulling the vibrations, working the vibrations into that muscle.
Sam Dean: So I am just out of my first power plate class which I think went really well. Thanks ladies, that was like a 25 minutes and five minutes of that was stretching, which was quite painless. The heat has warmed me. I am probably going to be aching a bit more tomorrow so I am not --
So it's week ten, I am finally done with my power plates classes. We are here today to see the final results. Waist, 66, this is same as when I began. Breast, began at 83.5 and then went up to 86 and today it is 84.5. 76, which is good because five weeks ago, it was 79. 45, which is good because it was 47 before. So my arm is 24, which is the same as it was. So now I am about to try out my expensive jeans that I couldn't fit into before my power plates program.
Overall, I could really recommend power plates to anybody that really wants to tone up in all areas of their body. I didn't go into my fashions once usually it got these amounts of weight and I am having but my clients definitely feel much more comfortable and I feel more comfortable with a toned body.
