Hey, welcome to the Frugal technology show, I am your host Bruce Naylor. Every week we are talking small business technology, what makes you money and what saves you money. And Ho! Ho! Ho! It is going to be Christmas time really soon. So, I thought we talk about what you can get your gig for Christmas. Now, you know the caring for you the gig it is important thing and frankly, probably if you want to gig your stuff, you would not be watching this.
So, the first thing on my Christmas list is the Optimus Maximus keyboard. Have you seen this thing? Go to things thinkgigs.com and check it out. This beauty has got all like a 113 different keys that are actually little displays, video displays where you can change the color, you can change the font, you can create icons, you can use application icons and work with Mac OS10, and it works with Windows PC’s. Beautifully designed, beautifully crafted. That is Russian design studio. Now here is the thing, this is $1599.00 for a computer keyboard.
Hey, look I talked to Mrs. Clause and you know what I got—the Logitech S510 wireless keyboard about 15 bucks at Wal-Mart. Probably, you are not going to get the $1599 keyboard but it is super, super cool. Chris got one and it is an amazing thing. As a Frugal Tech, I could never ever justify that kind of money for a keyboard but hey, if you got cash to burn, why not or you could put it the stock market.
The next thing on my Christmas wish list is a text clock. Now, these are very cool. It is like a four cubes with a digital—they just lined up in a different pattern. At first it looks like random patterns on these four little blocks, but essentially it tells you the time. The cover one night they light up and with the way you—it is very easy to learn how to read them once you kind of learned the little trick behind it. So, it gives you different patterns, the patterns gives you clues and you know what, it just has this real similar like quality to it. They are really cool they are $49.99 and check out thinkgig.com.
Well, the one thing Mrs. Clause did give me on my shopping list was this brand new Nokia E71 Smart Phone. Now, I got this from Centennial Wireless on a contract. So, my other pocket for the phone was about a 100 bucks but you can get them unlock for about $400, about $350 to $400. It is a beautiful, beautiful phone. Real fan, it is all metal.
Let me just tighten up on this little bit to kind of get that VexiaHD30 thing on here. Let me see if I can just zoom in on this thing. Here we go, can you see that? It is just a cordless phone it is got a 3.2 mega pixel camera on the back. It runs the Symbian OS, it works with Microsoft Active Sync. I get my email, my contacts, address book and all that stuff on there, just zoom back up here.
Okay, beautiful phone, it is very thin it got a nice cool full lock keyboard on it. It is not iPhone, I am not a big fan of the iPhone. But, very easy to use and guess what it makes beautiful clear crisp phone calls. I definitely recommend you to check out the E71 Nokia Smart phone. I love it and I think you will too. It is really a beautiful phone all metal. Man, I really, really like thing.
So, you know the caring and feeding of your gig is very important and left to own a device is we probably over indulge in caffeine and pizza and all kinds of stuff is bad for so hey, how about this? How about a scale, it not only weighs your portion but and it measures your food, but also tells you the various things about that food like the number of fats, proteins, carbs, calories, vitamins all that in the food.
That is why for only 79 bucks, is the Eat Smart Nutrition Scale. This thing is way cool I found it again at thinkgig.com and man this is really cool. I want to get one myself because I got to loose little bit of weight here and yes I just think it is really unique gift. So, it measures your calories, your carb, your fiber, your sodium, magnesium. Hey, gigs you got to take care of yourself.
Another very cool thing is the flip video minnow HD, have you seen this? Now, we have a flip video the standard ver
