What Else can your Mobile Phone Do? Part 2
For a stolen mobile phone, to check your mobile phone serial number, key in the following digits on your phone—*#06# and then it says dot, well I do not know if it just the period, the end of the sentence. A fifteen digit will appear on the screen. This number is you need to your handset, write it down and key it to somewhere safe.
When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. Then they will be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the sim card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably would not get your phone back but at least you know that whoever stole it can not use or sell it either. If everybody does this there will be no point in stealing mobile phones. Of course we did talk about what happened the other day with trying to locate of a stolen phone and it work out quite well so that maybe another chance that you can catch the thief.
Alright let us try this, *#06#, it did work. No doubt, it worked, I got a long number in the middle of my screen now. Wow! That is impressive, okay. Well so far, we are seeing one out of this.
Fifth and finally; free directory service for cells. Cell phone companies are charging a dollar to a dollar seventy-five or more for 411 information calls when they do not have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which make this situation even more a problem. When you need to use the 411 information systems simply dial 800-free-411 or 800-373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your things.
I am looking for the other one, I had another one but maybe I got rid of it. Wait, hang on, it maybe it is at the very end, yes—411-free is the one I used to call, 800-373; yes that is the same one—800-free-411. I have used that before. Of course having of one of this iPhones I can you know look up anything by Google that looks great.
It says also you can call 1-800-yellowpages, 800-935-5697. Google 411, there you go, 800-466-4411 or Microsoft live search 800-225-5411 and you could looked up toll free numbers at 800-555-1212. It is kind of weird. It says, “All of these are free however Google 411 and Microsoft live search you are both connected to the number search free-of-charge, nifty. These kinds of information people do not mind receiving so pass it on to your family and friends.
Now it is true enough, in fact I got very upset with the Poncy when she kept calling 411 on the iPhone but you have it right there! And we even have card that got a GPS thing and you can plug it in and it is right there! It takes like a couple extra key presses and you do not have to pay outrageous rates, and yes I think it a dollar is outrageous rate for something that you already have access to.
