Hi, and welcome to watchmojo.com I’m your host -- and today we’ll be taking a closer look at this hot new exercise phenomenon.
Pierre Blanchet: Basically the Power Plate is a vibration device that’s design to increase the stimulation that of the exercise that you would do normally on the floor to get more benefit from the exercise and there’s many different ways you can use it but in general it’s what it does.
Host: Well how does that work exactly? What are the exercises you do on it and how does it functions?
Pierre Blanchet: Well the machine is great because it’s very versatile. Let’s say it’s a little device, it’s not very big. It takes about four foot square and you can do the regular exercise that you would do like push ups and squats and its good for stretching.
The idea with it is that the exercise that you would do normally like the push up, you would get more benefit from it on the Power Plate because of the extra stimulation of that nervous system.
Host: Speaking of a good work out in the short amount of time, how many times have you use it, how does that work?
Pierre Blanchet: Well, like any type of work outs like for instance if it’s cardio, you would not go into cardio five times a week if you do it verily intensively, so you would just have to progress but there’s no problem at first to do it a couple of times a week and to integrate it I mean into your other routine.
For re-cooperation, you can anybody parts that you would want to put on the Power Plate would help into the re-cooperation because you’re just relax your muscle and the vibration itself increase the circulation, increase the blood flow entire for it helps the muscle to re-cooperate.
