If you are trying to get pregnant, there are certain foods you should avoid which can decrease your chances of conception. Foods that contain preservatives or other chemicals, for example, affect your blood sugar levels and hormonal balance. Also, avoid foods that are high in fat. Caffeine should also be limited, because it reduces the flow of blood to your uterus, and eating a lot of meat is not recommended because it raises the body's ammonia levels, which affects fertility. Soya bean should also be avoided when trying to conceive, because there is a component in it that's similar to estrogen, which can lengthen your menstrual cycles, thus decreasing fertility.
