Ethan Bloch: So someone who is up to you and they are like hey, you know about Pownce? This way you should say, of course I know about Pownce. Are you serious? You are talking about Pownce? And you're like, What? That's how you spell Pownce. Welcome to the world of Web 2.0, we can spot any word however you want and still be considered Cool. See, Pownce is a bad ass service, a bad ass way to share files, events and the links amongst your friends, Founded by Leah Culver who is just featured on the front page of the most recent issue of MIT Technology Review, as well as Kevin Rose and Daniel Burka. And inside the most recent issue of MIT Technology Review, Pownce just featured as one of the top 10 web startups to watch.
See, you can share files and links and messages amongst your friends, and now you maybe saying well, I am already on Facebook. So why do I want to join a whole new service or the whole new log in and password to do some of the same exact things? I am going to break it down for you real quick. See, on Facebook, you cant's actually take an MP3 per say or a song. Send it to one of your friends and then download it and then pretty much own that contact on Pownce totally ligit as one of the more bad ass features I think on Pownce. It's also a feature that prior keeps some of the entertainment industry lawyers up at night waiting for the right time to strike. However in order to soothe those fears, just a month ago I was into a track from the little ones, downloaded it. I liked the song so much, I went on iTunes and bought the whole album.
The one bad thing about Pownce is that if you don't have any friends on Pownce, not a whole lot to do and it's not that much fun. So if you are going to join, make sure you have some friends joined, and then you'll truly realize the true potential of it. I am going with that of Pownce. And feel free to add in my ebloch. That's what I know about Pownce.
