Interviewer: What do you recommend for someone who is trying sushi for the first time?
Angela Chan: Well for first timer I would highly recommend the California roll.
Interviewer: Why?
Angelo Chan: Well first of all, if you are less adventurous well let’s not get into the whole series of raw fish. And all the ingredients in the California roll are cook.
Interviewer: So, what’s in this California roll?
Angela Chan: Okay, on the outer layer we have the seaweed and then inner layer we have rice and we have the piece of avocado, a piece of Pollock which is fake craft meat. Some fried eggs and some fish roll which is caviar.
Interviewer: And one of the other items on your plate?
Angela Chan: Okay, the other items well let met first take off that decorated parsley. What we see here is the red one that’s called pickled ginger it’s a bit sour. And then the green one is wasabi, which is Japanese ground horseradish. This is quite spicy but it’s actually more pungent and so if you are not very adventurous I would recommend you just to put a small amount on your sushi. Spread it all over, like this then you are going to put the tiny piece of pickled ginger over it and then you can dip the whole thing in soya sauce. Now, habitually it’s the good idea to put the entire piece of sushi in your mouth so that you can enjoy all the flavors and blended together. So, well today I’m not going to eat it in public with the whole piece in my mouth but this is how the one we consume it. So bon appetit!
