Raena Morgan: Frank, could you tell us what fibrinogen is and what it does?
Frank Murray: Yes. It's a protein in blood clots.
Raena Morgan: Oh!
Frank Murray: And, as you know with varicose veins, phlebitis, various conditions of the lower extremities, blood clots play an important role. So, we need the sweet orange to actually remove the blood clots so that the fibrinogen is no longer a problem.
Raena Morgan: Is it like sticky?
Frank Murray: Yes, it is, yes. So, you want to get rid of it and the sweet orange is valuable in that respect.
Raena Morgan: Where does fibrinogen tend to build up?
Frank Murray: Well, in blood clots it's a protein that tends to build up as the blood clots.
Raena Morgan: Okay, so that affects your circulatory health?
Frank Murray: Yes, we want to get rid of that. As you know, blood clots are related to heart disease and hardening of the arteries and a lot of things. So, we need to remove those clots so that the blood flows more freely.
Raena Morgan: And, we can do that with sweet orange?
Frank Murray: Oh absolutely, yes. Usually 2 tablets, actually, capsules a day, as you know, they contain 450 milligrams of diosmin and 50 milligrams of hesperidin, 2 very valuable bioflavonoids. Usually, as I explain in the book, 2 capsules a day over an extended period is usually important in strengthening the blood vessels and dilating them.
Raena Morgan: And getting rid of the fibrinogen?
Frank Murray: Absolutely, yes.
Raena Morgan: Dissolving it, as it were?
Frank Murray: Yes, dissolve, yes.
Raena Morgan: Thank you, Frank.
Frank Murray: Thank you.
