The medical definition of concussion is a clinical syndrome characterize by immediate and transient alteration in brain function coupled with alteration and mental status and level of consciousness as the results of mechanic forced or trauma. So what does this mean?
When your brain bids in a fluid called cerebral spinal fluid that surrounds the brain between the skull and the brain and access a caution that protect your brain from the bumps and the walking and sort of movement that you make. However, when you receive the significant blow to the head, what happen is your brain forcefully collides with interval of the skull that can cause microscopic sharing of nerve fibers or even bleeding at times.
So when this happens, the concussion manifest itself through difficulties walking, vomiting, persistent confusion, dizziness. And so if you realize any of these symptoms immediately following a blow to the head, you should definitely contact your physician. However, they are more susceptible to a second concussion immediately following the first concussion.
So, should you receive concussion or significant blow to the head, be sure to exercise caution when playing contacts sport and make sure that you use protective gears such as a bicycle helmet, hockey helmet, football helmet and so on and so fort in order to prevent yourself from receiving other concussion.
