Todd: My name is Todd; I live in Pearl, Mississippi. What's the best climate to live in for asthma sufferers? James Li: That's a good question, Todd. The short answer is there really is no single best climate for asthma. On the other hand, if someone is allergic to certain types of pollen or mold or dust mite, there maybe certain areas of the country where there is less exposure. For example, in higher altitudes there tend to be fewer problems with humidity, and with dust mites. It's not absolutely the case however, because indoor environments and houses and homes, can still be moist and have dust mites present. For some people, the cold weather is an asthma trigger, therefore for other individuals being in a warmer climate would be less likely to trigger cold air asthma.
