Hi everyone so I’ve got another business idiom for you and today’s business idiom is
measure up so what does measure up mean, well measure up means to be as good, to be
as successful as expected or needed. So it means to be as good or to be as successful as
expected or needed so that’s measure up.
So let me give you some example sentences so our first our sentence today is actually a
question. How does the new guy measure up? How does the new guy measure up?
Number two, this new product doesn’t measure up, this new product doesn’t measure up.
Number 3, employees who don’t measure up will be fired. Employees who don’t measure
up will be fired so there we have it.
So today’s business idiom measure up, it’s meaning to be as good, to be as successful as
expected or needed. So these are the actions I want you to do. I want you to write 5
sentences using today’s business idiom, measure up. Then I want you to practice those
sentences in front of a mirror to gain that confidence to get that natural sound.
