I think that you have to look at your destination when you’re setting your budget. And for example, if you’re going to be staying in Hawaii or Tahiti and you budgeted for the air and for the hotel, you also need to be prepared for the cost of things like food. In certain resorts, you can pay upwards to $80 for two people to eat breakfast in French Polynesia. The same thing at certain resorts in Hawaii, there are some areas of Hawaii with a Big Mac, you know, where two value meals here on the east coast. So you have to take all of that into consideration because you don’t want to just focus on a budget for the travel and then get there and find out that you really didn’t have money left to do it because when you get to the destination, the whole point of traveling to a destination is being able to experience it to its fullest. So you need to prepare in advance, get an idea what tours cost, get an idea what meals cost and build that into your budget.
