Danny Bruno: Hi! My name is Danny Bruno from Orlando, Florida. I would like to know when doing brain exercises, whether we looking for to achieve the ultimate brain stimulation to help improve memory? Dr. Stuart Zola: Danny, that's a good question. We're really trying to understand what the best exercises are for us to be able to maintain our cognitive ability and our memories for longer period of time. Doing brain exercises like crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and other kinds of things seem to be very useful. The idea is that in doing these things, you can create more connections in the brain and those connections will help to sustain our cognitive abilities for a longer period of time. It's especially important to actually to try new things, things that you haven't tried before, because those are going to develop more connection still on your brain to help sustain activity.
