What to Wear for a Hot Date

Hillary Kerr: Welcome to the Who What Wear fashion closet, I am Hillary Kerr. Katherine Power: And I am Katherine Power. As you have probably noticed, we like to talk about stressful style situations as much as we like to dissect the current trends. So, on that note, today we are going to discuss something that will definitely give you a bit of an outfit panic. And that is what to wear on a hot date. Hillary Kerr: We have all been in that hot date predicament. You want to look attractive and alluring without coming off like you are trying to hard. We will show you a couple of cute outfits that are totally date worthy but first check out the celebrity muses who inspired today's styles. Female Speaker: First up, we have got Lindsay Lohan whose electric blue dress and little leather jacket is a perfect combination of femininity in a modern edge. On a much more loki note, Gisele is perfectly fit for a night at the movies or a romantic stroll in her slim jeans and flat boots. Hillary Kerr: Both of those ladies hit the right note with their sexy, but still sophisticated outfits. So, with those images in mind, let's search the closet and come up with a couple of great date outfits. Katherine Power: Of course, you want to wear something a little bit flirty but just make sure your outfit is balanced. That means, don't wear anything that's too low cut, too tight or too short. Hillary Kerr: Also strive for balance in the style of clothes you wear. Mix feminine pieces like a silky dress or a soft sweater with more structured items like a shrunken blazer or a cropped jacket. Katherine Power: The first look is perfect for dinner and drinks. We chose this off the shoulder AKA dress because it's a stunning color and it shows her shape without being too tight. The modest neckline and the three-quarter sleeves help to balance out the short hem of the dress. Hillary Kerr: Now while this dress is gorgeous, it is a little bit simple, so we added a thin light belt for a little bit of contrast. As this is a dress of your date, we knew, we needed heels, so we picked a hot pair of black patent leather peep-toe pumps. I love the shape of this shoe. It reveals the inside of the foot in a way that's sexy but still really subtle. Our second look is for a no-fuss date, something like going to the movies or a day activity, because this is a more casual look, we started off with a slim fit pair of jeans in a dark wash. These happen to be the J Brand Cigarette jean but any skinny or straight leg pair will do. Katherine Power: A date definitely calls for feminine pieces, so we found this sheer gray camisole at Urban Outfitters and tucked it into the jeans. Then to give her a little bit more coverage we added this short sleeve jacket from H&M and finished the look off with a comfortable pair of gray flats.
