You know if I were to answer the question of what are the fundamentals tenants of Jewish faith we could be here for 3,300 years which is how long the Jews have been here. It is a long time and there are so many ways to approach it but I would say the following.
Number one, strange as it may sound, Judaism believes in the superiority of the feminine over the masculine, meaning, the ancient world was a very masculine world; it was a masculine aggressive world. It was about fighting, and emperors and warriors and who are the special some of who triumphed over his fellow men.
Along came Judaism that said first and foremost who spoke of this equality between all people, we are all equally Gods children and you could get along with your fellowmen in a much more feminine way. In an open way, in a way where there is an emotional bond instead of the master slave relationship who is really special. Judaism also said that peace was superior to war, again the triumph of more feminine over masculine values. I mean for thousands of years wives have been saying to their husbands, “You have healthy kids, why are you so depressed, that you do not have more money, that you are not more successful in the battle grounds of the markets?” and then have continues to define themselves by what they earn. By what they conquer, that hunter gathered in mentality. Judaism says that in contrary, that real life is about virtue, it is about connections of families, it is about bonding.

Another very important tentative to Jewish faith is the belief we could make the world better. So many other religions are about getting into heaven, they are about achieving personal salvation, if you believe in Jesus, you are going to heaven, and many Muslims believe that if they do have ex-wives they are not going to heaven. I am sure they are right, may God bless them. I hope to meet them in heaven or maybe they will at least they will visit me in hell, but Judaism does not ask questions like that, we really do not care where we are going and virtually, everything about Judaism is making this world better, whether it is the couture laws. You know God allow us to take animal life in order to sustain ourselves, we eat protein, etcetera but God says, “You must do this in the most humane possible way,” because your meat is slaughtered in a way that causes no pain to the animal. Culture animals are all herbivores, they are not omnivores, they are animal that have split hooves and shoes are cut, meaning they do not have paws, they are not predators, they cannot chase up other animals. Everything that we do, we try to bring peace into what we are doing that it is with the idea of the Sabbath is, another fundamental tentative of the Jewish faith. We do not work on the Sabbath. There has to be some peace in your life. For six days of the week, we master our environment and on the seventh day we allow the environment to master us as it were. We become one with the universe, we do not just sit to exploit, to conquer, and to destroy, and we seek to be at peace, to be at rest.

Prayer is a fundamental tenant of the Jewish faith, bringing God into your life. After all the centerpiece of all Judaism is God, the greatest Jewish contribution to the world is God, prior to Judaism there was paganism and there were many gods, and the gods were even a bit silly, they fornicated, they had kids, they came in different guises, they seduced women, I mean would you worship someone like that? Go to a nightclub, you would find plenty of gods like that but the Jews gave the world this idea of distant body of god who was equally the god of men and women because he was not just male and he was not female, he was not Hera, he was not Aphrodite. God had no gender, god had no race, and he was equally the god we had no next to him.

Another fundamental tenant of Jewish faith is, it is those things in life which you cannot hold, which you cannot see, which you can not smell, those things that are intangible are actually the most precious, like love. No one has ever seen love, no ones ever touched love. I mean one of the fundamental rules of our society is specifically those things that are hard that you can own like property, money and cars that are valuable but Judaism says no its god and love and virtue. Those are the things are the most special.
