Okay we are going to do that thing right this second. This is at your – music lesson with Walt, there is a whole chapter, there is a whole thing going on here. And so let us just do these really quick guys.
When you have this in a piece of music, this thing is referred to as a sharp. Now what that means that when you have a note, by the way this is at my class everyday, you are doing music lesson with Walt, there is a whole scene here, there is a whole community, we have 90 heads right now that are in the chat. You cannot see the chat right now but there is a link in the video description, check it out. also you can add me on YouTube also I have a Flicker and a Twitter account definitely check this out and we have a lot of cool , mails coming of and now we have this – sharp. So now what a sharp means in a piece of music is that a note goes up, it goes higher, also when note goes down, it is referred to as a flat, so that little M that you are talking about, does not necessarily have to do with the sharp or flat but I will explain to you what I am talking about in ten seconds about that little M.
This is your piano, if I were to take your piano like this. Now we have this, this is a little bit easier to read. If I pick this G right here, and move up to one of the black keys, that is referred as to a sharp note. Some of these sharp, well it just means that note is taking up a half step. What is the half step? The way that it works is that any distance from one note to a next note is a half step, if you skipped two distances, then is a whole step, your two halves is a whole. So here is how it goes, if I pick this F and I will go up a half step, from this F. Now, if I will take that further and go down, going down from F to F#, I am going down to G to Gb. So going down is a half step flat, going up a half step is sharp. So, you probably sat to yourself, “Hey, Walt does that mean that F# is the same as G flat?” The answer, yes. That is the first question that is what a sharp mean. That right there, it is just saying that you play it on one of the black keys. So, now if I write this in a piece of music, if I will write F and put a sharp sign, right there. It means F#, that is a first question. Also, if I play something like a G flat, these two notes are the same. Now, you probably asking to yourself, “What is the little N mean?” N, I put that link in the video description and you can check that out. But, that is what the middle Siamese, okay.
