When is it Safe to Start Prenatal Yoga

Hi, I’m Allannah Law and I’m a qualified yoga teacher and a pre-natal yoga specialist.

One of the most common questions I get asked as a pregnancy yoga teacher is when it is appropriate for me to commence practicing yoga during my pregnancy?

The answer to that depends on how much experience you’ve had with yoga previously. If you practice right up until your conception there’s no reason why you can’t find a pre-natal yoga class near you and start practicing straight away right to your first trimester.

However, if you’ve never practice before or you’ve experience complications with the previous pregnancy or even a miscarriage so much better to wait until your second trimester just to ensure that you and the baby are safe.
