Rebecca: How to make a statement, then we shouldn’t be afraid to wear them where ever we want. Hi, I’m Rebecca Brittany and today I’m speaking with Coreen Seria designer at Ophity hats. What you made you grab into towards hats, designing hats.
Coreen: We started as high accessories almost like fifteen years ago and eventually, people were asking for hats. But at first it was for the Jewish community and they wanted some hats and so we actually started cutting pieces of fabric without even knowing how to make hats.
Rebecca: So where do you get your ideas and your inspiration for your designs?
Coreen: You know, when you do something for a long time it actually becomes a second nature. You know, by doing it for so many years, I have my own style, my own unique creativity in what I’m doing.
Rebecca: Do you have difficulty staying fresh?
Coreen: The problem is the opposite is I have too many ideas I just don’t know where to start.
Rebecca: What’s your opinion? Can anyone wear hats anytime or are they for special occasion?
Coreen: There is a shape of hats for everyone. You need to make sure that it going to balance with the face. So you going to make sure that some one with a square face, they’re going to choose like a bigger rim in order to balance, someone who has a tiny face then in the opposite make sure that the rim is mush smaller.
