Which types of Injuries Should you Look our for
There are a number of injuries that we just do not want to mess with as a coach. They are probably being the biggest and that you want to be in top of these. If an athlete has a head injury you just do not want to mess with it. It is not our job to say it is okay, or it is not okay. It is our job to make sure that there safe to return to play. So do not mess with a head injury. Get it checked out, get a doc, and take a look before they return to play.
Abdominal trauma, someone they complains of pain under there ribs, and there abdomen after our blow, you do not want to mess with that something that you want to get cleared right away and make sure it is getting taken cared of.
If an athlete takes a hard blow to a bony surface and they felt sort of a crack or something like that, we do not want to mess with that. We want to get that looked out as soon as possible. We want to stand on top of that.
A wound that would not stop bleeding, we want to get that taken cared of as soon as possible. We do not want to leave that and just say I, it is okay, go on with it. We want to stay on top of those types of vitamins. The final thing that we want to make sure of is that if an athlete has been out for a period of time, we want to make sure they have clearance from someone in order to go back for a play.
If the athlete is having a knee injury or shoulder injury and they have been able to participate for a while they had a significant illness like mono or hepatitis. We want to make sure you have some clearance before they go back for play.
And lastly, knee injuries, we just, if the athlete comes off the field and they are hobbling they cannot protect themselves. They cannot get out of their own way. We do not want to mess with that. We want to make sure that that athlete is able to do all things they need to be able to do. To be able to do on the field that athlete, one arm has to be tucked by their side in order to play because they cannot lift that arm up, not a good thing. Get them off the field, do not mess with it.
