Welcome to Common Man Cocktails, I’ your host Derrick Schommer and this week were going to start it of with something we’d never done that very basic sort a its not more basic than anything else but I always look at it saying I’m never going to do this, its too easy but you know what got to do it because I’ve always reference tips called the White Russian. Vodka, Kahlua, Cream or as my uncle always does its Vodka, Kahlua and milk and I think its probably because most people have milk, I don’t know most people feel somebody’s house to make a White Russian, people like cream I don’t have that on hand.
So I’m guessing a light cream, if you use heavy. Is half enough count, could you do like, I guess you could, right. I mean you put half-and-half in a coffee, this is kind of like a coffeeish taste to it, this is the Kahlua Especial and were using the Devotion, milk is better for you, so it’s protein. So we got protein infused, you say there’s no protein in here, let’s see. We’ve got a—there’s no protein in here. I thought milk is protein, what do I know. So we’re using protein infused vodka so, if you’re watching the show and your in the WWE or as we use to call it back in the day, the WWF. This is the drink for you because it’s got protein, so you got a wrestle the next day, there you go. Or if you just aren’t to weight lifting being to banging it too with myself.
So we’re going to do with an ounce and a half of vodka where we’ve got three quarters of an ounce of Kahlua, three quarters of an ounce of cream. We’re going to build in it over ice, I guess I have to use that in a little bowl glass, old fashion whatever. So were going to throw some ice in there first, that should do quick and dirty. We will do this Devotion first, an ounce and a half, easy enough. So there you go. You got your daily intake of more some what of protein.
So its going to should fill up pretty much all the way by the time we’re done. Three quarters of an ounce of Kahlua and I think what is you guys what was your first cocktail, your first drink. I’m guessing was something simple but you never know. Mine was a White Russian id I remember correctly because it seems so like, oh its got milk that’s good for you and just a cocktail. So we’re going to stir that up a little bit, I think were going to stir it with, yes, we do. Stir that right in there, there you go. I don’t wham into with this, now start right back. And what you have is just nice chocolate milk looking, surprised. You see the cream kind of clings right to the side. If you’re using milk, you’d probably just leave that white instead of the actual creaminess.
That’s pretty powerful, I think when I use to make this, I didn’t like equal parts of everything and definitely more vodka because we’re going to a little more that burn. Starts out very much like a—and it’s kind of like a little spicy to it and starts out really like chocolate milk coffee chocolate milk maybe chocolate ice cream and then it hits you with the vodka ness. There’s a noise making em’, there’s blue thing over here.
This is the little truck that goes inside of Optimus Prime’s trailer push it out and he sits in there, he ejects. This is the back you gone check it out and that cool. So there you go and this is a White Russian, so now we’ve done it. It’s in the archives; you’ll never need to find other White Russian recipe.
I’m your host Derrick Schommer for everydaydrinkers.tv. We’re teaching you how to drink.
