Hillary Kerr: Welcome to the WhoWhatWear fashion closet, I am Hillary Kerr.
Katherine Powers: And I'm Katherine Power. Well, we normally dissect current runway trends or talk about what to wear to a specific event, today we are going to tackle a different sort of situation, what to wear in your downtime?
Hillary Kerr: Our oh, too lazy Sunday will show you two casual outfits that are comfortable, chic, and easy to put together, and best of all, there are no sweats involved.
Katherine Powers: But first, let's take a look at a couple of ladies who look good all week long.
Hillary Kerr: Recently out for a stroll with her boyfriend, Keira Knightley pulled together her layered lazy day look with a great pair of Frye engineer boots and a colorful scarf.
In sunny Los Angeles, Ashley Olsen achieved a similar weekend look by piling on a t-shirt, check button up, and black blazer.
Now we'll show you two of our informal but inspired outfits.
Katherine Powers: A hat is not only good for concealing your bed head, but it's also a great way to add a dash of personal style with very little effort. It's natural to want to wear loose, really comfy clothing on the weekend, but to keep the look chic, you want to pick at least one body-conscious item in the outfit. Like a slim pair of pants or a little fitted jacket.
So our first outfit is very low pressure but still really cool. We have started out with this plaid work shirt, it's by Charlotte Ronson, and it's a great top for a day like this. You can also just go with a plain button down shirt as well.
And while we're not wearing our leggings with our skirts or dresses anymore, they found a perfect place in this kind of outfit. We gave her this military inspired anorak and a simple black felt beret. It adds a touch of sophistication to an otherwise casual outfit. Finally, we finished the look with a flat pair of brown boots.
This second outfit is a bit dressier and it involves one of our favorite accessories, the big scarf. The foundation for this look is a pair of slim fit jeans, these happen to be by J Brand, and they've got a bit of stretch, so they are perfect for the weekend.
We layered two v-neck t-shirts by LnA, in gray and red. Then gave her this great cropped, double breasted brown leather jacket by Madewell, and added an over-sized print scarf, just to make the outfit a little bit more interesting.
For the shoes, we found another pair of flat boots. These are the engineers by Frye, and to top the outfit off, we went with Gold Aviator Sunglasses by Rayban. Sunglasses are a lot like hats, in the way that they can just pull your outfit together at the last second.
